Daniel Mercado, Jr or Dan/Danny to those who know him, has been in the actuarial industry for more than five decades and served as ASP President from 1982 – 1983.

Dan served as the Chairman of the Board of the Philippine Prudential Life Insurance Company, Inc. He has led the corporation for more than 50 years and provided guidance to the Board and its Senior Executive Team even after he retired.

Dan graduated from the University of Sto. Tomas and completed his masteral studies at the University of Wisconsin. Aside from being a Fellow of the Society, he is also a member of the Philippine Columbian Association.
