Reynaldo Cruz Centeno, or Rey to those who know him, has been in the actuarial industry for more than four decades. Through the years, Rey, has served as one of the bastions of the actuarial society, contributing to its growth and guiding future actuaries.

Rey is currently the President and Chief Executive Officer of Generali Life Assurance Philippines Incorporated. Prior to that he has served as an actuarial consultant, as Chairman of the Interim Governance Board for National Life Insurance Company and as President and Chief Executive Officer of PhilamCare Health Systems, Inc. He has also served the roles of Chief Actuary, Chief Finance Officer and Chief Operating Officer for Philippine American Life and General Insurance Company. Rey has also served as Director and Chairman for various companies and industry associations.

Rey holds a Bachelor of Science degree major in Mathematics, cum laude, from the University of the Philippines. He has Master of Science degree major in Actuarial Mathematics from The University of Michigan. He has also completed the Top Management Program at the Asian Institute of Management. Rey is a recipient of scholarship (PSHS – NSDB) and a graduate of Philippine Science High School.

Rey is an Accredited Life Actuary and an Accredited Non-Life Actuary by the Insurance Commission. He is a Fellow of the Society of Actuaries, of the Actuarial Society of the Philippines and of the Life Office Management Institute. He is a Member of the American Academy of Actuaries and of the Association Actuarielle Internationale.
